Trouble shooting before tech sent out? Re-boot the spa

Is always recommended that you troubleshoot before you schedule a service call.  Often just re-booting (Turn it off; turn it back on) your spa will correct the problem; eliminating the need for a technician and saving you time and money.

How to Re-boot your Spa.

Turn off your spa at the breaker; take the filters out, and then wait about 20 to 30 minutes before flipping the breaker back on. This is a great time to clean the filters! Often flow issues have something to do with your filters.

When to “Re-boot” your spa

Often turning your spa off at the breaker will resolve the problem you are having.  Here are some of the most common problems we get calls for:

  1. There is a green light flashing.
  2. My breaker is tripping.
  3. My jets aren’t working.
  4. The water is getting really hot – the temperature is saying it’s 102 but it’s actually like 104

And if you notice it’s still doing the same thing, then we’ll come out for service.

What is the warranty on parts?

Generally, warranty on parts is one year from the day they are installed. It depends what part it is; it all comes down to the manufacturer’s warranty. But generally the main parts including pumps, salt system and heaters are one year.

What are the different manufacturers warranties?

Manufacturer warranties differ. Generally, the warranty on the hot tub shell and cabinet is five years and components such as pumps, salt water systems and heaters have a one year warranty. Please check your manufacturer warranty.

When is the earliest the spa technician can come out?

It just depends on the season and how busy our technicians are. If it’s the busy season, from February to June, it can be two to three weeks out. But when it’s slower, usually we can service your hot tub within a couple of days. Please call us at 951-698-3115 to see when our earliest appointments are.
